I have been stopping here a few times a year on my way out of town after visiting family. Looks like a cool place for locals to gtg and hang out. I'm just there for the coffee. I like the simple things like drip coffee and Americanos, and this place just disappoints on a regular basis. Drip coffee or always just warm, never hot. Espresso shots aren't good either. Just one of those shops where you have to force yourself to consume the consistently bad coffee to justify your expense. They could be trying a lot harder than they do. I stop at the gas station next door now that, admittedly, also isn't great, but it's better than the actual coffee shop.
Absolutely quaint. I love a good coffee shop, and this one is right up there with one of my favorites. I’m new in town, and cannot believe the service and hospitality I see here in Grand Rapids. The coffee (regular dark) was perfectly strong, just the way I like it, and refills are only .25, unheard of. Friendly service, and I look forward to returning.
Service and signage are terrible.Signs say that if you’re there for just drinks to order pay at the till yet we were never greeted at the till to order 2 drinks to go and a different customer just went ahead of us to buy his bagged coffee with 4 workers behind the counter. Left with nothing.
Staff was really helpful with helping me find food that could accommodate my food allergies. I had the Zesty Vegan sandwich and it was delicious. Unpretentious, comfortable dining room, good food, and nice staff.

Wonderful place. You are always greeted with a smile. The coffee and muffins are my delicious, but the monster and ginger snap cookies are amazing. Highly recommended.
I tried the butternut latte and it was fantastic! This was my first visit to the place, and I will definitely be returning. Their muffins are incredible!
Best coffee shop in GR. They know how to steam/froth milk properly, have incredible bakery, and the friendliness people around.
