The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection—light, fluffy, and soft, just as I requested. The cheese grits were flavorful and packed with cheese. However, the true star of the meal was the pancakes! They were perfectly cooked, with crisp edges, a fluffy center, and warm throughout. I've never had pancakes that were so delightful in my life. We visited for brunch, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous, making it worth every penny. The restaurant appeared to be quite popular, as we encountered a wait despite arriving early. It's important to ensure that your entire party is present when you're seated, as they only seat complete groups on a first-come, first-served basis. They don’t use a virtual waitlist, so you might need to wait inside the restaurant until a table becomes available. Our server was very attentive and courteous. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
I thoroughly enjoyed the bourbon blackberry lemonade; it was delicious and came in a generous portion. The raspberry pancakes were a treat, and the eggs were quite flavorful too. Unfortunately, they had run out of their usual grits, so I chose the cheese grits as a substitute, which ended up being a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a nice brunch experience. However, the atmosphere felt a little cramped and noisy. I'd definitely return for drinks, but I do believe the food prices are somewhat on the high side.
Be prepared for a wait during peak hours at this restaurant, as they will only seat you once your entire party is present. The food was fantastic, and the kitchen staff is clearly talented. However, the menu prices are too high for me to return as a customer. I also suggest avoiding weekends, as you will likely encounter a long line to get in. Overall, it’s a charming restaurant with excellent food, but the cost is not justified for what they offer. The picture showcases their Pecan Pie French Toast topped with apple compote.
The @thebriarpatch restaurant offers a delightful brunch menu, featuring sandwiches, burgers, homemade desserts, and plenty more! We started our dining experience with a warm brioche sticky bun that was fresh out of the oven.
