After spending two weeks in Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria, this restaurant was the best of all the places we ate. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was exceptional. Three servers delivered the meal and, in unison, removed the dome-covered plates to...reveal our selections. What a nice surprise! This is more than a typical German restaurant. I would recommend going out of your way to dine at this establishment
Oh this dinner was the true highlight of my stay in Friedrichshafen once again. The steaks are fantastic, the chef really knows how to prepare a delicious sauce, with green pepper and a natural Port wine based caramel sauce. I felt tempted to ask for...a spoon, so good. The dessert is also extraordinary, and don't forget to try one of those many fine liquors, and consider the tremendous choice a reason to come back for another one

Having eaten at a number of outstanding restaurants, it is rare that I get truly enthused. But this place has delicious food, knowledgeable and efficient staff, a nice ambiance and seems the best of German dining. Our hotel restaurant as well as nearby restaurants were closed (Monday) and we happened upon the Buchhorner Hof. What a stroke of luck. The food was great, the wine was quite good, and the service was exceptional. Not to be missed if you're in Friedrichshafen
There are restaurant, bar and hotel in one buidling and same name. I believe meal quality is excellent. You should ask staff 'recommendation of today.' I wish to stay hotel for the next time. Of course, price range is high
