Burke & Wills Bistro

Layout and decor are typical of most pubs and pricing was good. I took up the option of a Guinness pie and my wife the beef roast of the day. My wife was really pleased with her choice and I can honestly say the pie was outstanding, the pastry was perfect, meat chunks in a gravy of good consistency and taste. Topped with peas that could perhaps have been livened up with a splash of vinegar it was a simple meal but so tasty it was disappointing when the plate was empty. Paired with a glass of Pepperjack Shiraz it was an absolute steal at a touch under $25 for both!, if we lived in Toowoomba we would be there often trying out other items on the menu but doubt if anything could pass “the Pie”.

We ate here for lunch during our recent stay in Toowoomba, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.The menu has so many tasty options I didn't know what to choose. My husband had a steak which was done to perfection, and I chose the pumpkin and pine nut salad which was delicious.We thought prices were quite good, and found staff to be friendly and helpful.Highly recommend.

Portions enormous, everything seems to be fried, anything ordered is severely overcooked. It's a strong pub menu with all the favourites but unfortunately not well presented. Prices would suggest a quality experience but not the case.

Good pub food, an extensive menu and very well priced . There is a reasonable wine selection and a good bar in the Bistro as well. The offer weekly and nightly specials and the servings are very generous.
