This is the third time we have been to Burp just to be disappointed again... I am not one to write anything negative but this was prompted by my chef brother to do this. He is also a trainer in Hospitality!The 1st time the service was dismal and waited for drinks all night having to ask all the time, food was limited for price but some restaurants are like that! 2nd time a large number of us as it was a work do. 28 people... all the meals were mixed up and the wait for it to be fixed took 1 hour and.30 mins with some eating and some having to wait. The service for drinks was terrible and again we had to ask and ladies on our table were ordering the same drinks all afternoon and had to tell t...
Had a lovely meal at Burp tonight for my daughter's birthday as a table of 8. Our waitress remembered our orders better than we did, the service was efficient and knowledgable, and the food was excellent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his oysters, followed by the swordfish, as did everyone else with their meals. We had 3 small children with us and they were catered for with pizza, much to their delight.The meals weren't cheap of course, but they were quality.We will be back. Thank you.
Amazing food, wine and service, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner, can highly recommend the 5 course tasting plates, both Burp and the Dispensary are well designed, beautiful decor and everyone should make a point of reading the history of the building, thank you to Adrian and all the staff for looking after us. Not our first visit and definitely not our last, we love their food every time we visit Mackay!
I chose 6 oysters as my appetizer - 2 natural and then 1 of each different variety. They were all delicious!Grass fed eye fillet for a main with a side of greens and a salad. More than either of us could eat!Service was very attentive. Will certainly visit again on my next visit to Mackay

Big suprise find in mackay! Pleased that there is a venue of such great standards in this town. Amazing all round, service, atmosphere, wine and drinks list, and of coarse the incredible food!! The whiskey granita oysters are out of this world!!
You need to go. Book now. The way best I can explain it. Was like a story. I was taken through a story but in flavour. There was twists and turns with plenty of great surprises and s awesome ending. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Go
Finally managed to check out this restaurant, had a great meal with excellent service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Busy on a Friday night so recommend you book first, don't just turn up hoping for a table.
I don't give many places 5 stars but the food and service here were unbelievable. Both entree and main were out of this world. Definitely one of the best restaurants in town.
