I have been a regular at this restaurant going back to when it was called Butterfield 's. This covers a period of at least 10 years. There are a lot of choices when it comes to places for breakfast and/or brunch and this spot is always my first choice. Yesterday (10/8 we met out of town relatives there. We 'd not seen them for quite some time, so naturally, conversation and catching up ensued. I know that it was a busy time for the restaurant and the service was fairly rushed up when it came to clearing the table. Horrible. This place used to be so good but it was awful this time. I ordered smoked salmon hollandaise. The salmon was not smoked and was thick and rubbery and the hollandaise sauce was a weird color and tasted awful. I am not sure if it was old and reheated, but it was so bad I only ate half. It didn't look appetizing when it came to the table but I was hoping it would taste good. It looked like some slop you would get in a school cafeteria. This is such a good dish at other restaurants. I visited Butterfield's Pancake House to meet some friends and noticed they had set up an outdoor tent in the parking lot for dining. I ordered the corned beef hash, which came with peppers and shredded hash browns, along with a side of pancakes. Unfortunately, the hash was a bit too salty for my liking and lacked the crispiness I prefer. The meal included some fruit, but it was mostly cantaloupe with just a small amount of honeydew and a couple of grapes, which was somewhat disappointing. On the bright side, the service was good; I just wish the food had met my expectations.

I was genuinely impressed with Butterfield’s Pancake House! While staying at the Renaissance, the front desk staff suggested this spot, and I’m so glad they did. I tried the salmon with poached eggs, cooked perfectly to a medium doneness. Honestly, I didn’t expect the service or food quality to rival that of fine dining, but this meal exceeded all expectations. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular every week. The staff were welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. Fantastic experience!

Butterfield's Pancake House offers delicious food with generous portions, making it a great choice for hearty eaters. The service is excellent as well. However, about 30 minutes after eating, I experienced stomach cramps, so unfortunately, the food did not agree with me. While the menu has many appealing options, I’m lowering my recommendation based on this experience.
For what you pay the food should be hotter. Staff is always very friendly. Hash browns were cold one time, turkey burger not close to hot the other. I don't know why its so difficult to do. Place is clean and friendly but if the food isn't hot, or even close, thats a problem.

Always a good meal. The service is very nice and people seem very pleasant. If you go a little bit later in the afternoon it's much quieter than the noon rush-hour.
I always enjoy our family breakfast at Butterhills. Food is good at a good value and normally we can sit down right away.
