Ok, I admit, I'm a coffee geek. I'm always on the prowl for truly great coffee. And I have to say it's really hard to find in Ontario. I live just outside Toronto, and have tried many popular cafes there. But so far, I haven't found anything in the GTA that compares to what I experienced in Italy and also Montreal. I visited family in Welland a couple of weeks ago, had a coffee craving, and did a search. Cafe Amalia immediately got my attention, and I just had to give it a try. What a great find! I don't really know whether Constantino realizes he's running a business. I think he just enjoys inviting people into his home to experience real Italian coffees and conversation. I decided to check this place out because I was in need of a local coffee shop to get some work done (as I needed a change of scenery from my home). I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of service and food! I had this sandwich with a bunch of different meats on fresh Italian bread. Honestly, best sandwich I have ever had! I may be making this one of my regular cafes to go to.
