I was really let down during my recent visit here. My first experience had left me so impressed that I recommended the place to others, especially because the friendly woman at the front made such a positive impression. However, on my second visit, the manager, or the man in charge, refused to accept my coupon for a couple of cans of soda. I know this might seem trivial, but it’s about principle, and I won’t be coming back. He insisted that the fried rice included with the pupu platter for two was counted as a coupon (which it isn’t), and that I couldn’t use two coupons at once. This issue still hasn’t been resolved. I hopped into my DeLorean and revved it up to 85 mph, transporting myself to a time when food was genuinely satisfying. I couldn’t find a menu online, so I had to call (yes, I had to reach out to my Gen Z friends for help). I ordered a variety of dishes that I assumed any Chinese restaurant would offer, and everything went smoothly. They accurately processed my order and quoted me 15 minutes for pickup. I arrived in 12 minutes, and my food was ready. I spent $38, and my girlfriend and I now have lunch for tomorrow. The pictures on the walls seem to have been there since 1982, and I hope they never change. On my way out, I grabbed a paper menu so I can order more precisely next week.
Was a customer there for over 15 years , will not be returning. I will drive the extra mile to China Plaza in Rockland. I order online pickup from a food app came to 106.00 with a free orange chicken for order over 60, my husband and son went to pick up the order and she tried charge them an extra 50. Never again will we return and they forget hot mustard I ask for 3 times. Poor service and reheated food
The takeout dinner I enjoyed was quite satisfying, coming in at a reasonable price of $10 to $20 per person. I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5. If you decide to order from here, I highly recommend trying the Shrimp Fried Rice—it was definitely the highlight of the meal!
