We went in to buy some ice creams with the idea of eating them while taking a stroll through the town. We were misunderstood by a woman who wore a dog in a hand inside the premises. My daughter said that she was thirsty, so I tried to ask her for a glass of water in my limited French, and the lady got rid of us the Spaniards in French with another waiter because I ended up asking for the glass of water in Spanish: with eau, it had not worked and I did not remember the verre d'eau.
