Phoned to book a table for 6/8 people with 6 day’s notice for a Tuesday night I asked if it would be possible to get a chicken madras made with leg meat on the night the waiter asked the chef who said no it can’t be done ? Yet the do sell tandoori chicken legs on the bone. So we’ve booked elsewhere I’ve used this place many times and always tip well so I’m not knocking the food just the customer service
A great Indian restaurant on Ocean Road, South Shields. With a good selection of curry houses to choose from, this one is not to be missed. The restaurant has a good decor with welcoming and friendly and helpful staff. The food is great tasting and definitely value for money. I would recommend the duck on puri as a starter, unusual and very tasty. The curries are excellent too.
We stumbled across this place we didn't think we'd get in anywhere after the Great North run. We asked, and we got a table straight away. The staff were so accommodating to everyone that walked in. The food was perfect, the staff were so friendly and would definitely go again next time we are up.
We popped in to the Cafe India on an off chance of a free table, as we were in the area for a short weekend break. I must say the welcome was warm and the staff even warmer. The food was excellent, the best curries my husband and myself have had in a long time...highly recommended Book a table now
