We were on a Shearings tour across the hotel. We decided to miss another boring trip and stayed in the city. Had a nice walk to visit the shops, church and cemetery. Here for lunch. The restaurant was full, but the coffee shop was good, we had a light lunch, which turned out to be very substantial. I had a chicken sluice that was nice and tasty but too much for me especially with the beautiful crispy chips. Husband had a steak toast he loved, the wine and the beer were good, prices a little steep, but the food was delicious and the service friendly. Shame I couldn't manage any of their beautiful cakes!

A brilliant coffee shop with great cakes! The place was open every Christmas day, served everything you can eat in the morning and was packed. We went to coffee and cake twice in the afternoon and then to the late salad dinner. Brilliant!
