A hidden treasure in Castro Valley!Cafe Rumi is a wonderful little spot with a charming and harmonious atmosphere. Arrived expecting a 'typical ' cafe, and instead I stepped into a dream world. The Moroccan Mint tea is AMAZING, the seating adds to the charm, and the music playing in the background is out of a fantasy. I wish this was closer to where I live; I would come here every day!
Rumi is as good as it gets around here. Coffees are great and the food is great. My family lives coming here too. I brought my cousins here and they loved it as well. My kids love the smoothies. Smaller place, but all of the patrons are deep in their converatiin and enjoying their time at Cafe Rumi. I hope to come here for years to come.
A comfortable coffee house in the old fashioned way, intimate, friendly and well attended, serving a good lox and bagel, spicy hot chi and fine gyros with delicious lamb, beef and tomato filling.Kid-friendliness: Staff is very pleasant to all.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space inside and out, though the rest room is small.
I visited a charming little café in Castro Valley and tried their famous pink tea. It was delicious, though a tad too sweet for my taste. I also enjoyed the saffron chicken platter, which was outstanding, as well as the veggie platter—both dishes were excellent. Book a table now
I like their food. I've been going there since 2013. Food is ok. Small place but they have a good selection of meals.My only complaint is they don't have good ventilation . Overall a nice
The Pink Chai is absolutely fantastic! My only issue is that the food is served in takeout containers, even for dining in. Otherwise, the food is excellent!
