My family and I had the unfortunate experience of dining at Cafe Silvium recently, and what should have been a celebratory Mother 's Day meal turned into a nightmare. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with utter disrespect and rudeness by the staff. Despite having made a reservation for four people, we were led to a table set for six. Understanding that the restaurant was busy, we politely offered to wait for a smaller table to be set up to accommodate others waiting. Instead of addressing our request professionally, the waiter became visibly agitated, accusing us of lying about our reservation size. This is an amazing restaurant in a nondescript spot in Stamford. Service is highly attentive and the food is simply amazing. Come hungry because the portions are large and very well presented. The chicken Milanese was absolutely wonderful...perfectly breaded and fried, thin chicken breast topped with perfectly seasoned arugula and tomatoes. Ossobuco was incredible as were the lobster ravioli. If you haven't been here, come. And if you have, then come back for more!!! It tends to get crowded and the place is not huge, so plan accordingly.
This is an amazing spot however I would say their pasta dishes are just a notch above other entrees. Whatever you choose can’t really go wrong! Just a matter of preference with your selection. And wine by the glass is amazing here!
Had reservation. Took us on time. Place was filled at 7:30. Parties in progress. Sat us in front where windows are, in the corner. Great..we were out of way. Service and food were great. Recommend you get reservations, even for 2.

I always bring my guests there before they leave my house. If it is easier to get the reservation, I’d go more often. Try seafood pasta with squid ink spaghetti, really good.
My absolute favorite Restaurant in Stamford. Well worth any wait or need to make a reservation. I recommend making a reservation as I am not the only fan.
The most amazing Italian food I have ever had!!! I had one of the specials- crab stuffed calamari over pasta. Delicious!
