The coffee bar is a fun touch, allowing you to choose your own mug and fill it with as much coffee as you desire. Their coffee is excellent, and you can even purchase some to take home if you enjoy it as much as I did. Be prepared for a crowd though, as it tends to be quite busy, so a wait is likely.
However, keep in mind that this place isn't very accommodating for those with disabilities, and strollers won’t fit easily. Housed in an old building, it offers a charming atmosphere, but it does come with a few challenges. Overall, this café is definitely worth a visit!
I absolutely adore small spots for a good breakfast. I read reviews before coming and all were so good that I was convinced I needed to try. I was not disappointed!! The salmon and grits with a side cinnamon pancake was heavenly! I knew it was a good sign when I walked in and saw it was crowded even for a Friday morning! I can imagine weekends probably can’t even get in the place lol.
Cafe Strudel is the best spot for breakfast in Columbia, SC. The shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. The photo of the shrimp and grits was taken after I mixed it all together—it looked fantastic and tasted even better!
The food at Cafe Strudel was excellent. Although they were out of two mimosa flavors and we waited over an hour to be seated and served, we truly appreciated the general manager personally bringing our plates to the table. Overall, based on the menu and service, I would give Cafe Strudel a solid 4 stars.

The 'Pre-Game ' was amazing and quite filling. Very generous serving. The french toast was great and the cheese grits as well. I had a warm drink ordered for me, don 't remember the name but tasted like spiked hot chocolate, it was divine!! First time, we 'll definitely be back.
The experience was phenomenal!!! Our waitress had execptional customer service and the atmosphere was homey yet outgoing due to all the customers there. I loved it!! I would definitely return if I'm in the area!
