We didn't stay here, so can't vouch for the hotel. We stayed next door at the Novotel and - unimpressed by the hotel menu - wandered up the road and decided to eat at the Campanile.Wow. Where to start? First, we arrived just before 7pm with our toddler, to find the restaurant empty. We always eat here as they are so obliging. We usually have the eat as much as you want salad buffet at lunch times. Which is around £7 if you combine it or the dessert buffet and/or with mains the buffet prices get cheaper. I try not to have the dessert buffet I don't know when to stop. Their mains change daily but they always offer a steak and a pizza and a fish and a pasta dish. We have eaten here many many times and we have never been disappointed. It is well run and the staff remain the same, ah... my review. Well our last dinner, We had a draught beer a glass of port and a fruit cocktail then our friend had steak chips and green beans, we have never had a tough steak here yet touch woo...
We did not sleep here we just ate here. We didn't stay the night although it is slightly cheaper than the Kyriad, but we could feel the vibration of the traffic in the carpark and as we sat in the restaurant when we first came in. I also found the carpark cramped and small. There was not a huge choice on the menu but they do have a buffet style starter which we would go for more at lunch time as it was salad orientated, we chose steak and chips and green beans (tinned again) which was excellent, I had braised beef with chorizo, and a mountain of chips I couldn't taste the chorizo but I did get a strong paprika flavour but it was good if rather small in portion size compared to the pile o fpi...
We ate here during a one night stop over as we were too tired to look elsewhere after a long journey! There are various menus on offer - we chose the buffet starter and a special. Lots of choice in the buffet and fresh and tasty. The chosen main was a veal stew that was very nice with green beans and french fries. Good quick service, staff spoke english and altogether a pleasant and relaxing expereince

3 of us were staying overnight at the nearby Kyraid Hotel but the hotel restaurant was closed so we headed off to the Campanile. The service was poor, with a waitress who gave the impression that we were somehow inconveniencing her. Unfortunately the food couldn't lift our spirits either, the steak was awful and very fatty. Without doubt the worst restaurant we found while in France.
Modern clean restaurant with friendly staff and good service. We had a very enjoyable meal with a good selection on the usual Campanile buffet and also a good selection of main courses. The only gripe we have, is why does the Campanile group always insist on serving the very hard type of bread rolls, when France makes some of the best bread in Europe.
Plenty of food... get the buffet to try a variety of foods. I'd recommend getting the station buffet and adding dessert if you are still hungry. Good taste of French culture. (Soup, sea snake, ham, cheeses, pasta, and more)
Average food! only ate here because the Kyriad Hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday. Not a lot else to say about this restaurant
