The food is fantastic. The chef is amazing and it shows in all the dishes he and his staff create. We have eaten here quite a bit and the food never disappoints. Great wines too. The only problem this most recent visit was the service. Our server was lagging behind all evening. They were busy being valentines weekend, however he didn’t clear away app plates until the main course came out. Never checked in our refilled wine or water. He was probably having a bad night and I hope next time I am in the service will have improved. Other than that…. You won’t be disappointed.
The tuna di Chianti was one of the most memorable dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant. There’s a story behind it (pork shoulder not tuna). The beans and the pork shoulder simmer for days in rosemary infused olive oil and broth. So aromatic and flavorful! My husband’s grilled cheese was made with the most beautiful, freshly made chiabata roll which the chef makes each day. Highly recommended! Our pasta came with a very long hair buried in it. When we told them, they weren’t apologetic and took thirty minutes to bring out another pasta. This experience was pretty disappointing, and also left us feeling pretty grossed out. The food itself was okay—the bread was good but the pesto pastas were too salty. The plus is that despite the menu not appearing vegan friendly they will do special pastas and can adapt some sides and salads. And foraged mushrooms were delicious. The downside is the food is weird! Green onions on red sauce pasta, slightly overcooked noodles, whole sticks of rosemary left in dishes, too onion-y red sauceso close but not quite there.
Great food!! Authentic Italian Cuisine with a modern twist. Service was a bit scattered but overall it was a great experience. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
Dinner was amazing as always. From our appetizers to our dessert, the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. We will definitely come back.
