This has to be the best place to be on a cold winters night, great food , cozy fire, and the warmest, friendliest service. Nothing is too much trouble, Les behind the bar always has a smile and very professional with the running of the bar (no waiting) . There are lots of other hotels that would benefit from going in and seeing just how a hotel should be run! Check it out you will be amazed!
Had a great meal at the Captain on Boxing Day when pretty much everywhere else was closed. Great service with an extensive menu. Hard to choose but went with the 400g of Rump cooked to perfection and sauce served on the side as requested. The new manager Izzac Polglaze is certainly making a difference. We will be returning :
