I was sent out to the Island for a business trip and decided to look up an old friend in the area. We needed to meet up close by and decided on Italian. I did not expect much from this place but was pleasantly surprised at how shockingly good it was. The staff's service was impeccable and the portions were huge. The prices were extremely reasonable too. The Baked Clams and the Zuppa di Pesce is a must at this place. Put this place in your list!!
First time eating here. Nice ambiance, waitress was outstanding. Unfortunately the best part of the meal was the cocktails. I had the blueberry bliss and my husband had a vodka martini. To start with we had the baked clams and the arugula salad. For main course we had the chicken saltimbocca and the pork chop valdostano. Everything was lacking in flavor. The breadcrumbs on the clams were mushy. We were disappointed.
Cute Itialian restaurant and setting. The atmosphere was very busy and they do not take reservations,it's first come first serve. The waiters were friendly but also very busy. The food was good and portio was huge, but wasn't outstanding, maybe it was the dishes we ordered. I'm glad I tired it because it was recommended but I don't think I would make a trip to go back there.
I have been a customer at this restaurant since they first opened in Queens! It is hands down the best Italian food in New York! Everything is made fresh and the portions are generous. The baked chopped clams are delicious, along with the Chicken Capri and Chicken Sweet Melissa. Carlo and the rest of the staff create a wonderful dining atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoy. My favorite for the last 35 years! No other place compares. I am from Queens and have been going to the restaurants corner location since I was in HS. I now live in Manhattan and travel back to Queens just for their food!
Will never not order from here all the food is beyond delicious super consistent and have never had a problem 10/10
