Cardinal Spirits Distillery And

Being our first time there I was pretty surprised how cramped it was. We had reservations for Valentine’s Day, we arrived a few minutes early and waited a total of about 15mins. We left when another couple, who came in about 10-12mins after us was seated before us (almost immediately). Even if they had reservations, which were staggered by 15 mins, they were already 20-25mins late and yet we were expected to continue to wait. We went to eat at another establishment and was seated immediately. You called my cell at 9:54pm (almost 25mins later than our reservation, your kitchen closed at 10) to tell me our table was ready. The food we ordered (veggie burger, chicken, salads) was excellent. The sole reason I rated the restaurant as very good rather than outstanding is its extremely limited menu--roughly eight entrees, maybe ten. Otherwise, the place is first-rate. It really is a distillery, by the way, and the spirits, mixed drinks &c. are terrific. Ambiance was pleasant and relaxed. Our waiter was great, almost too attentive.

Bloomington is fortunate to have this treasure. Not only are the adult beverages delicious, their food never disappoints. As a plant eater, I can always find something, besides a salad, that works for my lifestyle. We love this place! And we highly recommend taking the tour of the distillery.

Every experience I have had dining at Cardinal Spirits has been enjoyable. The food is always delicious with new choices each time and award winning drinks.

They charged my card twice and the second time they charged it it was higher than the first time they charged it.
