The food was fantastic and everything tasted fresh. The chicken, fish, vegetables, rice, and beef patties were all excellent. I ordered ackee with salted fish, but I didn't enjoy the ackee. However, the staff were kind enough to prepare it again for me. I would definitely return to this restaurant if I'm in the area. I think the prices are pretty standard; some might consider them high, but coming from Boston, where everything is pricey, it seems normal to me. I assume people are used to it since New York is also expensive. Just be prepared to spend a bit. If you're looking to save money, I recommend just grabbing something light like a patty.
I ordered a large oxtail through UberEats for $20, but instead, I received a medium oxtail along with four tiny pieces that were no bigger than pebbles. This feels like a total rip-off, especially since it was an online order and returning the food is unlikely. For $20, I expected more than just a plate of rice and one medium oxtail. I'm really disappointed and won't be returning. If oxtail is your main dish, you shouldn't be charging customers hard-earned money for such poor quality. I ordered a large oxtail through ubereats for $20. I received 1 medium oxtail and 4 tiny pieces of oxtail the size of pebbles. That is robbery especially when it's an online order and you know it's unlikely we would be able to return the food. 20 dollarsfor a plate of rice and 1 medium sized oxtail....so shameful will not be returning here. I dined at this restaurant today and ordered two beef patties along with an oxtail. The food was alright, but the service left much to be desired. The man with the goatee and hat appeared to have a bad attitude; he rolled his eyes at me and snapped his fingers for the credit card without uttering a single word. There was no greeting, no inquiry about my order, and not even a "Thank you for coming." It was incredibly disrespectful. I certainly won't be coming back, and it's no wonder this place is always empty.

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt that I was unfairly treated as a Black man during my visit. I placed a pickup order totaling around $50, and it seemed like the staff suspected I was a delivery driver trying to steal the food. I've never experienced such prejudice at a restaurant before. This will be my first and last visit to this establishment.

It's great to discover something beyond the usual offerings at a mall, rather than just a Nathan's (no offense to hot dogs!). The curry goat was flavorful, and the patties were quite good as well.
