Carmelo - Table reservation

After a year in Bochum, a visit to the Starlight Express took place together with our children. The gastronomy around the Starlight Express is somewhat thinly populated, but as we were in the area late afternoon, we tried to get a place without reservation. Since my girls love Italian cuisine, we tried it in the “Ristorante Carmelo”, a few hundred meters away from the musical theatre. When we arrived, almost the entire guest room was empty, but one looked at us with great eyes as we wanted a place without reservation. Everything seemed to be reserved. After explaining to the boss that we don't want to settle in the house, but just want a dinner and then want to go on. Shortly superior, then...

Wonderful dining experience. Went out with the family for a nice meal. The starters were generous and there was a wide selection of meat, fish, and pasta. Our table enjoyed our wine and desserts as well. Lively atmosphere with an outdoor area. Menus in English...for those whose German is a bit rusty. The wait service are courteous and friendly our waitress consistently helped the elderly out the door and the owner thanked us and wished us a good night. Overall pleasant experience

Despite arriving at the hotel reasonably late the restaurant stays open until late. Food was very good with good selection on the menu. Excellent service, good prices and would use again if we revisited Bochumstayed in the hotel attached

Very pleasant feeling of being in Italy with the same courtesy, warmness, taste and dishes. High value at a low price. Very well done Carmelo. I will certainly come back. Thank you for the positive experience

We arrived late without booking food was excellent great steaks. Service was also very good. I would highly recommend the venue
