On an early Saturday evening in mid-January 2024 we spontaneously decided to go to the Leonidas in Bochum to eat Greek as we were just nearby. At 17:00 the first guests were waiting for the entrance door. Most guests apparently had reserved. The friendly Greek and forward-looking boss of the house, who received us, could then give us a good table with an overview of the large guest room. The ambience of the Leonidas is a bit very strange and needy here you do not expect a Greek restaurant. It seems that there was a brewery industry here a long time ago or something similar or what it is called. All in the 70s/80s design dressed with dark wood and wood carvings and butt slices. Very cozy ambience, the food was world class, only recommended. The scambi were fresh and delicious from the grill with herbal butter. The operation was very accommodating and very fast. All highly recommended and one of the best Greek restaurant I know.
It was probably preserved. Nevertheless, we got a place. Friendly and fast service. Fine Dolmades, very fine Tzatziki, gyros and grilled beef livers a little strongly seasoned, but harmonizes with rice, onions and salad.
It was, as always, super-lecker!! Supertolle atmosphere, you feel like home!!! All super love and always so family!! !
