My family and I were traveling from Florida and staying in Big Canoe and we decided to go exploring one of the days on our vacation. We found this place for breakfast and as soon as we walked through the door we immediately felt welcomed. We have a one year old and the waitress’s were very sweet to him and the rest of us. It was very clean and the food was excellent! They have a good variety of choices to eat. We ordered cheese eggs for my Son and they had his out immediately! Oh and let me tell y’all about those cinnamon rolls… those were seriously the best cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten! Cinnabon doesn’t stand a chance when it comes to those! The food at The Carriage House is so delicious, creative and satisfying. Their cooking skills are absolutely amazing. I’ve tried their cinnamon roll, banana nut muffin and burger and each was the best that I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they do it, but their food is truly remarkable and makes you scratch your head and wonder “how the heck did they make this so insanely delicious?” If you haven’t been to The Carriage House do yourself a huge favor and go there and order anything.
The owner has a real temper and frequently (read the other reviews) goes off on her employees in front of the guests. The portions are small for what you pay for and the food quality is mediocre. I could handle the food portions and taste if the owner would sell the place to someone with a modicum of kindness and tact. I won’t be going back unless they get new management. I feel bad for her staff. I hope their tips make it worth it.
This charming little restaurant in downtown Jasper is perfect for breakfast and lunch. I had the breakfast skillet, which came with eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, bacon, a biscuit, and gravy. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I also bought a lemon muffin to take home, and I highly recommend trying their homemade muffins!

I had the steak and eggs brunch. I have had steak all over the US and I have to say this is probably the best steak I've ever had. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. And a side note the biscuit was hand made and delicious. Now back to the steak. Did I mention that this cut was fantastic!!!!!
We looked this place up last night and we're so glad we stopped in! Great food, service, and atmosphere. The coffee was a bit overpriced, but I feel as though the quality of food and service makes up for that! We'll definitely be back when we come to visit again.
Dixie was an incredibly friendly server. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was high-quality and made from scratch. We will definitely return! I highly recommend this place.
This restaurant is not following COVID guidelines. The place was quite crowded, there was no social distancing, and staff were not wearing masks or gloves. It was quite concerning.

The food is overpriced. The quiche was so greasy that I couldn't finish it. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here.
