This place as the DOG used to be great.. New owner should CLEAN the place...it is disgustingly dirty. Your name is on the building now..Take Pride!!!Bathrooms, floors, tables, windows, kitchen ( all containers, work stations ,coffee machines are Filthy. Such a stunning Location this place could be awesome .Hiring your family now involves too much drama and the great staff are obviously gone.They should comb their hair and look the part of a service business....they look like they are at home and just got out of bed!!!The women who is the new owner is rude and looks disheveled. Arrived from out of town with a group of 7. Great downtown location. The place looked clean and attractive. We sat outside and enjoyed a gorgeous view overlooking the Brant River on a sunny summer Sunday. The coffee was very good and so were the apple fritters, which they appear to specialize in. The tables on the patio were all small and offered two seats, not very welcoming to larger groups. However, they were out of so many things from what already appeared to be a very limited menu to begin with. The service was not the pleasant kind you'd expect from small-town Ontario. We dropped by for something to eat after having spent the last 6 hours kayaking. Even being starving as we were, the food was inedible. It is some of the worst food I have eaten outside of being stuck in a small airport or train station. We ordered a Waldorf salad and Chicken Caesar wrap (these were our only options since they were sold out of everything else). The chicken was grey and honestly inedible. The rest of the wrap was drenched in Caesar dressing probably to hide the fact that it had plastic looking processed cheese and not much else. The salad had powdered cinnamon dumped on it and again was inedible. I don't know how they are still in business. This is the worst food I have eaten...
Pos: Good lemonade. Good fruit smoothie. Muffins looked good. Nice patio over looking the river.Cons: Terrible food. Grilled Cheese wasn't even melted inside even after asking for it to be well done. The Vegetable sandwich was pitiful . Hardly any cream cheese, and a pathetic amount of tomato and cucumber and too spinach. Bread was fresh though. All in all a terrible experience.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant since it reopened under a new name. There was no menu available, and the service was subpar. Despite being a table of four, there were only two other people in the restaurant.
Fast and friendly service is the hallmark of this place which used to be the Brown Dog Cafe - scones and apple dumplings still rule for sweets to go along with your libation. Enjoy!
Still much the same as the former coffee hub....nice place to meet up with friends, and enjoy a bite and a drink....nothing outstanding, but all good and fresh
The food at this restaurant was decent, but the service was incredibly slow. Despite this, everyone in my group enjoyed the dishes that they ordered.

They get their coffee roasted from Oakville, I think I know the place... we had an great cup of Java and the best apple fritters! You must try one!!
