My partner and I order take out tonight and when we got home we were so disappointed. I ordered the chicken ravioli with sautéed mushroom. My ravioli was gritty, the sauce is the Prego Alfredo you buy for $1 at the store and the mushrooms were RAW! I could have cooked the exact same thing for less than $10. Our server Julian was absolutely fantastic. Its fast service and attention to detail has really improved the culinary experience. Our glasses were always full and there was no waiting time for service. The classic Italian food in the style of New York was just what one would expect from a restaurant that has been here since 1952. I have come to this location for many times for years now. The food can be really great! But I was rather disappointed this past weekend coming in March 12 2022 I attempted to call in an order to go and was given a time for pick up approximately 20 minutes later. After waiting nearly an hour, I left with partial order. I understand circumstances can arise. But a little more attention to detail would be greatly appreciated. We all have many choices where we choose to spend money nowadays. If I had a restaurant, I would want to reassure the customer that we will try our best that this never happens again. We came in for dinner on a Wednesday, and although the restaurant was pretty empty, the overall service was pretty slow. I ordered the large classic spaghetti with basil pesto sauce and it was delicious, but very oily. I couldn't finish due to the large puddle of oil at the bottom of the bowl. There were different types of pasta noodles mixed it with the spaghetti, which didn't bother me, but I thought was funny. Sadly my husband did not enjoy his bean dish. He said the sausage was good but the beans tasted off. Overall it was just an ok meal, nothing exciting.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. However, some of the menu items felt a bit overpriced. I ordered the classic salad with chicken, but there was very little salad and an abundance of chicken, which disrupted the balance of the dish. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked. Overall, it tasted good, but my tongue is a bit sore from the dry, extra-crispy chicken. I might consider returning to try some other dishes and possibly revise my rating.
This is Les Christie. It's been a while since we had a family dinner at this restaurant, but we really enjoyed our time there today, February 26. I wish Pat were still here to share it with us. Thank you for letting us take food home, just like we used to. It was a big step for me, and now I feel more comfortable doing that for future meals.
Enjoy lasagna dish served with the side of French bread and butter. It was great. Ordnete from the same and it was ready to hot and had help to execute the door. Friendly staff with fun ambience. Will be back.

The customer service was good, but the tortellini in white sauce could use more flavor. However, the pizza is definitely one of the best!
