Manilva village up in the hills overlooks its coastal namesake. It is quiet, Spanish, and atmospheric. On its Main Street this fabulous Bar Castillo has a modest look about it both inside and out, but do not let that fool you. This is the sort of place you talk about when you return from holidays. It is a true Spanish experience. We spent a week in the area outside the tourist season, yet it was constantly busy with local trade, always a good sign. It seemed to be family run. Everybody seemed to know each other. On our second night there, we were on nodding terms with a few people. By night three the staff knew our order!
