if I could, I would mark it all as ZERO stars. what else can be assigned to a restaurant that takes a table order, it confirms by email, and then if you are ready to dine find the entire restaurant in darkness and closed, apparently for good or foreseeable future. open table: why allow and accept booking; why send a confirmation? why do they simply advise that the restaurant is closed? we arrived at the same time as another couple that was just as confused.
The place was empty as everyone had just left to go to the theatre, that said it still had a nice feel about it and the decor is lovely. The menu is great and also has meat, vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered tempura prawns and crispy squid to start, the portions are large so we could have shared one. The food was absolutely delicious, came out quickly and piping hot. The service was excellent too. We will definitely be going back
I was extremely disappointed to discover that the restaurant was closed when we arrived on December 8th. We had made a reservation back in October, but neither the restaurant nor OpenTable had contacted us to let us know about the closure. I will not be using OpenTable again for future bookings.
We arrived for our 8pm reservation only to be told it was last call and we had to order immediately. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the staff because they were ready to close. The food was mediocre at best. Book a table now
that was delicious. I had the garnels with chili sauce and chips as the main course. the garnels were the largest, juiciest, most delicious I ever had. very generous portion size.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the overall experience is great. It's a great value for the price.
very disappointed to come to the catch to find it permant closed we visited harrogate and found it difficult to eat somewhere else
