My wife and I order out every other weekend. Cathay Kitchen is at times our “go-to” place to order from. Compared to other Chinese cuisines this is by far the best to order from. However, I did read other reviews and one in specific, really caught my attention. “Cathay Kitchen is good, but at times the food is very inconsistent.” Very true! Sometimes you’ll get the best ribs, and others you’ll just get some overcooked, dry ribs. Overall Cathay Kitchen is a very good place to order from. I have to mention that I placed an order early on in the pandemic, and it was my first time ordering from this restaurant in many years. I was somewhat disappointed with my meal. However, after speaking with someone from the restaurant, they were very understanding and accommodating. I decided to give them another chance last week, mainly due to the convenience of delivery. I must say, the food quality was exceptional. Thank you, Cathy's Kitchen! The portion sizes were generous, but what stood out the most was the delicious taste of the meal. I ordered the pork fried rice combo. The chicken wings and beef teriyaki were decent, but the rice was terrible. It was cold, lacked any pork, and had no flavor. I suspect there may be new management in place. I had considered ordering for Christmas and New Year's, but I will pass on that now.
The food is really good! It is literally my goal for Chinese food search! The delivery is really fast and the workers are really friendly. The delivery girl wearing glasses and a Scooby-Doo shirt was particularly sweet! Overall, the food and service is excellent!
