Everything started off well, drinks and appetizers came quickly. Waiting for the main courses took forever. A group of ordered pasta for mains and we spent minutes in the restaurant. The server came to us twice saying that the dinner would be right out, but a lot of time went by. We were really happy with the quality of food. Beautiful ambiance. Food was very good, although over-priced for my liking. Fries with a NY strip? Really? I can buy it more than a quarter that an call it a day. The service, although pleasant in initial presentation, didn't live up to the most common sandwich shop. Very slow was the night. We enjoyed four hours talking in a beautiful environment. Nice change from my remembering jerk off chicken. In four hours my water glass was refilled once. I had to move the appraiser plates, forks, and knives to the far side of the table after minutes talking with my friend before finally service got the hint! Fml! Oh well. Food was nothing special; the beets in the beet salad were old and tough. The pasta dishes were nothing different than Olive Garden or standard chain fare, at the cost. Service was slow and inattentive. Never asked about beverage refills or a second cocktail. Never offered a dessert menu. Very basic. And ridiculously expensive for what we had. Would not recommend. My husband and I very much enjoyed our time at Sofia. Our waiter Chris K. was friendly, prompt and attentive. Our dinner (arugula salads, seafood fra diavalo and filet mignon) was excellent. Highly recommend dining at Sofia Italian Steakhouse.
