In May 2022, while in New Zealand, it was mandatory for all travelers to have a pre-departure COVID test and a fit-to-fly clearance letter. My father, who had recently recovered from COVID and was likely to test positive, faced challenges finding a GP willing to assess him. Despite being deemed clinically well, many GPs in our area refused to clear him due to his positive result. However, thanks to the understanding and empathy of Mel, the receptionist, and Dr. Ciaran Laughlin, who had experience with similar cases, my father was finally assessed and cleared for travel. Thank you to Mel and Dr. Laughlin for their kindness and understanding.

The concept is appealing, but the food and service fall short. The dishes are prepackaged and brought in, with no fresh cooking on-site. The staff member I dealt with had difficulty understanding English, making it hard to place my order until someone else stepped in. It's very overpriced for what you receive; I was charged $11 for a kids' sandwich and orange juice, and the sandwich was past its expiration date. They really need to return to their previous approach with more fresh menu options—otherwise, what's the point of going there and paying so much for something you could easily get at a local convenience store for much less?

I visited Cheeky Chinos with my mothers' group. The service and staff were fantastic, and the concept of having a play center is wonderful. However, I feel that charging $10-15 for playtime is a bit steep, especially since I didn’t use the play area because my baby is still very young. The menu options were limited, and the food felt overpriced for what was offered. Because of this, I don’t think it’s fair to charge for play as well as have high-priced food that could use some improvement. Overall, it’s a great spot for parents with toddlers, with a lovely atmosphere and excellent staff and service—just a few changes are needed!

I have never encountered any issues at this restaurant, even though the staff can be under a lot of pressure at times. I really appreciate the diverse cultural mix of the staff here, from the receptionists to the nurses and doctors. I believe that negative reviews may stem from cultural misunderstandings and stressful situations. Everyone here has a challenging job, and I am grateful for all their hard work, especially during the recent pandemic. Dr. Rijad is our family doctor, and he is incredibly reliable, knowledgeable, and caring. He always ensures we receive the necessary follow-up care and support. He truly is the best. I was shocked to find out they charge $5 for every 15 minutes of playtime per child for a pretty average play area, especially since the whole idea is for moms to meet while their kids play. The food was awful, with very limited gluten-free options. The salad I ordered was terrible—I barely ate half, and my husband didn’t eat much more. The coffee was decent, but we couldn’t stay long because after paying for the overpriced food and $20 for the kids’ playtime, we felt we had stretched our budget enough.

I love cheeki chinos! I even borrowed a child so i could go in there as i dont have my own. My nephew loved the play area and quickly made friends with the 'carer ' Leah. As he left he was shouting Leah, leah! i see you next time Leah, see you soon! Its so refreshing to go to a 'play centre ' and receive great coffee and something decent to eat. The use of the ipads to moniter the children is a great idea too. I hope many more of these Cheeky Chino 's pop up in the suburbs.

The service and care at this restaurant were fantastic! I had a wonderful experience with a lovely team that seemed to be running smoothly and efficiently. The staff were excellent and I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant as my top choice.

Overpriced food and drinks and no toilet facilities on site. Menu options were very limited. Counter staff were a bit rude too. There's a free playground around the corner so will just grab a take away elsewhere and take my child there instead! Book a table now
