Pleasant restaurant, no popodums offered at start of meal. Warning bells rang when there was no smell of the aroma of cooking spices as you normally get when entering an Indian restaurant. When the meals arrived the meat was perfectly cooked but in a very...thin gravy. They were spiced but absolutely no depth to the sauce, I suspect the meat was cooked in a bland gravy, and spices were just stirred in at the last moment. Pillau rice was plain rice coloured with turmeric- that's not pillau. Naan breads were as good as you'll find in France, not the irregular shaped naans we are used to in England but quite tasty. I love Indian food! I'm very happy to have a place near our home, our children loves it too. We go often or just order by phone (take out). Few of my friends are also very good customers and enjoy eating Indian food like us....Is definitively the best place in town for Indian food! The place is casual, very good service and they speak French and English.
First time at Chennai restaurant. Not located in the best area in Vence. The terrace is on the noisy main road. The food tasted good but not outstanding either. No depth of flavors. We ask for medium spice but it wasn’t hot at all. So...if you go you might want to ask very spicy. The bows are small and so is the nan which is very expensive for the size.
We ordered chicken dishes and a beef dish.The chicken dishes were made from pressed chicken,which was advertised as chicken breast.The nan breads were soggy and very stodgy.I would not eat from tis place again.The man who greeted us was very aloofe and quite rude.

Delicious, well spiced and fair prices in a nice setting. The terrace is near a busy road but is still nice when it's nit to hot. Parking tiip: park your car in the Marie Antionette parking and walk through the exit to the Chennai restaurant.

I have to admit I had one of the nicest Indian meals from here last week, chicken jalfrezi , Nan , rice, it was perfectly balanced in terms of spices and heat very tasty ! I will be putting them on the weekly “must...have’ !
I have been eating at the Chennai since its opening and the quality is always good, products are really fresh, food is tasty and the staff is really nice. Not to be missed if you are in Vence!
