The server tried to upsell special drinks, stating, “Would you like to start with Diet Coke?” which came off more as a statement than a genuine question; usually, restaurants offer water or options first. After we declined dessert, she handed us the dessert menu anyway, and we had to ask for our bill ourselves. Overall, the customer service was subpar, which is unfortunate considering I paid $20 for three fish strips, two bowls of fruit (with one bowl containing rotten strawberries), and nearly didn’t receive my second bowl. Chester's burgers are cooked perfectly—juicy, a good size, and visually appealing. I prefer my burgers medium-rare, and they definitely delivered. The baked beans at Chester's were absolutely delicious as well. I'm not a fan of fries, so I always look for alternative sides to enjoy with my burgers. I had the whole week burger during my recovery from oral surgery at the Mayo Clinic, and it was soft enough to eat easily and still packed with flavor, even without the buns. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and I appreciated the glass dividers for social distancing between the booths. Masks were also required. Overall, a great experience!
Wonderful food! The calamari was fantastic, and the server recommended a side of chipotle ranch, which complemented the dish perfectly. I shared the honey chicken and rotisserie chicken sandwiches, and both were delicious and packed with flavor. I highly recommend trying them. If you're visiting the Mayo Clinic, this restaurant is just a short walk through the subway tunnel and skywalk.
Chesters is a great place to dine. The service is excellent, with the manager actively ensuring that all guests have what they need. There's a good variety of food on the menu, though I wasn't particularly satisfied with the prime rib during my last visit. On the other hand, my partner had a delicious salmon salad that she thoroughly enjoyed.
