We were there during happy hour where drinks were half off. When we confirmed this with the server, she said drinks are only half off if we sat at another area. If this were so, why was there menus advertising the half off on drinks on both ends of our table with 10 people? When we asked to move to the area they said where the drinks were half off, they came back with it will take one hour to move us. That is the most ridiculous thing we've ever heard. The restaurant was not that busy where we have to wait one hour after we made the reservation online and also called the restaurant to confirm the time of the reservation. Best experience for happy hour! Able to accommodate our large group of 10 in the bar area on a Friday celebrating my besties bday and friends last day of work.Shots always came on time and the waiter Enrique was able to keep up with our orders . Enrique and Lucy was very warm and welcoming checking in on us through the night. Bartender Herson kept the drinks coming. Had a wonderful night celebrating! Would definitely recommend for a celebration with friends. Thank you for a fun and memorable night!
We had a big family group of 30 people (including kids) and Erica and Meli (Melissa) took care of us. Meli was our server. She handled our orders from drinks to desserts. She did not show under pressure at all. She was very professional and made sure we all had our orders and that we were satisfied. Chevy's South San Francisco is a very happy place and we hope it would stay open to serve the community from all over Peninsula. Thank you Chevy's, and Melissa (Meli) for a wonderful and easy dinner!
I usually enjoy better service at this restaurant, but during my recent visit, it was quite busy, and the service did not meet my expectations. The food is decent, but I noticed that complimentary tortillas are no longer offered — you now have to pay for them unless you order fajitas. It would be nice to have at least one tortilla included with each meal.

My friend and I went into Chevys tonight! Daniel and Jimmy were exceptional. They greeted us immediately and cleared a table for us. We literally felt like VIP! My fitness and I felt so lucky to be there. We ordered margaritas and they were made in record time! Would I recommend chevys? Absolutely! Daniel and Jimmy will make you feel Like family!
It's been years since eating at Chevys. We walked in and we were immediately heated and seated. Our server was at times friendly, but would disappear. Food was good, good enough to return. But they need to fix the tables and chairs.
