You could easily walk past this Restuarant in a less than celubrious canal backstreet a stones throw from the station - but don't. Down one flight of stairs the Restuarant is elegant and simple, with food prepared at one end on an open fire and chefs table. Really only does fish but what a welcome break from the cassoulet everywhere else! We had the fruits de mer but plenty of choice on the set menus. Lunch is only 13e! If you like fish seek it out ... You won't be disappointed
Not much from the outside but go through the door and down stairs and you will be amazed. It is a different experience because it is open plan and you can see the chef cooking your food. The food itself was very good and also the service. One small criticism and that is the menu was all in French and I didn't really understand it.
If you are looking for an exceptional quality/price restaurant, don't look anymore, the products are extra fresh, the service at the top, and the flavors are at the rendezvous. The chef puts a point of honour to serve quality products, accompanied by idoine quality wines. Thank you for this great family time for my birthday.
A treat like always! Fresh and well cooked products. We took the carpaccio of holy jacques and the shrimps in the entrance and then the espadon steak and the steak that were to fall The service is always faithful to itself “irreprochable” Think of booking! I found Chez Gil through Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. We had a set menu and I chose the chef's recommendations. So many lovely mussels and seriously tasty small squid kebabs and excellent pud. Best of all the French were eating there.
Only fish and seafood restaurant on Carcassonne Especially since the products are fresh and the kitchen is very good, a remarcable cassoulet. All accompanied by a great leader. I strongly advise you.
Underground location, we asked where we were going, but very pleasantly surprised. Friendly and pleasant place because not too many tables. We're having fun.
