Brains, snails, offal, onion soup - all French, all tasty with the right accompaniments . Then again, the Beef Wellington, The Steak au poivre , the rack of lamb, the Duck L''Orange are all traditional French fare - all cooked well but nothing particularly special. At $50 for 2 courses and $60 for 3 courses, it is reasonably priced but the disappointing feature of the night was how many tables they managed to pack into the small space (about 3 or 4 too many, I would say).. This meant constantly talking with raised voices to be heard. This also provided a problem for a service squeezing and reaching over etc - but at least it was provided with a degree of charm and humour.

This is your typical suburban French restaurant..The food is a decent French feed for the price. The seafood pancakes are always worth a try..as well as their nightly specials..My only criticism is the tables are too close together and there is only one person serving, which makes it a bit hard to order, especially when its busy.I suggest you turn up for a table after 8 that way all of the early birds have ordered and are probably on desert leaving you and your friends to get served in the not so manic manor.Saying that the free pate is a great touch and the food is always above. par.Give it a try..you might be pleasantly surprised.
We have been coming here for years now. The decor has improved, and the owners and staff have changed. But, it is still the same menu (literally), and the quality of the meals remains unchanged too. Just superb quality ingredients and cooking. The head waiter (Christain) did a very professional job. His young assistant needs to learn that stacking plates at the table is not a good idea. Prices remain in the value for money category .
Have been to this restaurant many times over the years.Food and service always top shelf. However was a disappointed that corkage was $5.50 per person, particularly when it is unlicensed and the bottle you have taken is only $20. For the two of us(my wife).I cannot recall if this was always the way.My suggestion would be to charge corkage per bottle, not per person. Book a table now
This is one of our locals and it's about 4 years between visits. The menu is quite classic, with some variations. Our jovial waiter was on the ball and made us feel welcome. The food was as good as some we've had in France and it brought back fond memories of our time there. It's a great family style atmosphere, a bit like going to dinner at a friend's home.
I know this restaurant has been around for 30 years or so, but it has maintained the excellence in food and service. It couldn't be better.Seafood pancake to start, following by Beef Wellington and then cheese & fruit to finish.Great value. B.Y.O. drinks. Not licensed.Best to phone and book
This price fixe French restaurant offers a menu of beautifully prepared three course meals. It’s a small restaurant so reservations are a must. The maître dit is welcoming. I had a seafood crepe followed by a chateaubriand. Others enjoyed beef Wellington all beautifully presented.
Good taste great presentation, as chef myself, I can tell the chef in this restaurant is very experienced, very passionate. Each dish are well prepared even each vegetables are cut in the same size. My family had great time, thank you! Book a table now
OK food and good value, nice night out with friends, but nothing to write home about. Seems to have been stuck in the 80s, when with a bit of energy could be so much more. Food was fine, just not exciting
We go there at least once a month. The food is magnificent, the price is reasonable, and the staff and chef are amazing. With the visit.
