to the happiness we had booked this restaurant on Saturday night, it is a cozy restaurant with round covers. it seems to be a two-person operation cooking and a portion. there was the choice of appetizers, main courses desserts. the appetizers were a terrine and a filet of makrelen. the makrele was delicious with some beside dishes, including salat and celeriac, the most important courses included filet of bark. the kalbs was good, but that was the only night sleep, it could have been hotter. there were no such problems with the filet of bark meat. in this phase we were full, but we had taste dessert for the research. the first based on chocolate and pralin, the second was cake with a confit...
we stayed in an apartment near, as we only came for the weekend to paris, it did not look like to take as shops, but found this little restaurant so decided to go. we were the only ones. in the restaurant and there was a French waiter who spoke little English, but really tried so that we tried to speak our hardest (and mostly failed) as much French as we could, who told us that they only have one menu that every day with choices for beginners, main and dessert with whom we were good. I must say now that we were totally shocked that this was actually the best meal we ever had! the fresh and the quality of eating was as amazing and would certainly go back there if we were in paris! a beautiful...
I'm an American who's been in Paris for more than years. Restaaurant Rochette is all-around a very nice place to have lunch or dinner, but especially lunch (less crowded), because everything is fresh, the service is friendly, the traditional French cooking is very good,...it's not expensive, and it's easy to get to on blue line way up north. You can easily have a three or four course meal for euros or less. How do they do this? Probably because the rents are cheaper in St. Denis. It's my favorite place and in comparison I often feel like I'm getting ripped off elsewhere.
Nothing to complain about, I discovered Chez Rochette this week and it was a crush! A limited menu, a guarantee of quality, which changes every day. Tasty dishes, where you can feel the attention paid to the smallest details. The server has a kindness that warms the heart in these winter temperatures. And excellent value for money €14.50 for the starter-main course)! I just regret the absence of a vegetarian option on the menu. there I was because I was close to this place on the business, and read it that it is placed no. in the Saint-Denis area, oh my, what was for a disappointment, there is only one guy who plays wait wait wait wait wait wait, cash and public work, but I'm sorry. that he took much more on the public relations than on the wait for the waiter roll, sitting there I would never go back.
Chez Rochette is a perfect place to have a meal after visiting the wonderful cathedral . Good quality food we had the meal of the day which was perfect and very good value . Both the owner (Phillipe Rochette and our...waiter Nicolas) were great fun and made us very welcome . Thoroughly recommended ! Practically next door is the very good local Art and History Museum .
Very nice little restaurant. Very high quality products. The chef is passionate about good cooking and very friendly, which is very rare today. The waiter his son in the image of his father. I advise everyone who wants a change of scenery.
new favorit in paris. great service, wonderful food--I have especially appreciated the lack of tourist. that is also very affordable. we feed a family of four with drinks, two appetizers, four escapes and four deserts for euro.

The neighbourhood does not look like the best one in Paris, but this restaurant is like a island in the sad ocean of Saint-Dennis. Totally recommended.
The service was good but the quality of food was basic. Nothing to remember except maybe the waiter.
