I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We arrived around 7:00pm on a Friday night. The establishment was nearly empty except for a few dining at the bar.We chose to sit at the bar as well. Service was pleasant, but very, very slow. No options to deviate at all from the menu. Example: I wanted spaghetti aglio e olio from the sides offered and eggplant Parmagiano with no red sauce (dietary sensitivity) from the appetizer menu. This was not possible because I was told “it couldn’t be ordered that way”. (Therefore it is not freshly prepared.)An alternative dish of pasta aglio e olio with shrimp was chosen that was swimming in oil. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs; his dish was n...

This was the worst experience. DON'T GO THERE! This is the 3rd try at Chianti, now we're done. Took friends for a big birthday last Thursday. Service was good, food was ok, but omg right after we ordered our 2nd bottle of wine, the manager came over told us we had to leave because it was 9:00 and staff wanted to go home. We had no idea they didn't have any customers not even at the bar. Manager told us to either leave the wine or gulp it down!!! WHAT? Why did they let us order a 2nd bottle for dessert? If we were told, we would have gone somewhere else. Manager and owner are very rude. We are locals. Bad move. Read the other reviews!

I am from Boston and have been to the North End and Providence RI for some of the best Italian food on earth. Saying that, I have spent the last night and morning wondering if Chianti Ristorante was the best of all of them. Yep, Chianti is surreal and delicious. It’s a place that requires a reservation. Don’t risk your ability to dine here on chance. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order. I tried whatever everyone ordered. We were all freaking out and excited about our unique orders. Like the chicken parm, we all agreed it was the best we ever tasted. That’s weird. How could that be? Well it is so deal with it.

Food is delicious. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. Harrison the manager was exceptionally great. Average entree price is approximately $28. 3 course meal specials available at $40 each.Parking: Restaurant is tucked into a one story office complex, very unassuming. Great for parking since surrounding businesses are closed in the eve.
