A proper Aussie chippy! Best fish and chips for miles around. Chiko rolls, potato scallops, the works. Fresh salads and a wide range of drinks and ice creams and, best of all, genuinely friendly and engaging staff. Chicken Salt is a local institution and a wonderful locally owned small business. The food’s great, and the people are lovely. Do yourself a favour and swing by. Bring your big pants.
Long wait on a rainy Friday evening, but that was due to us showing up at peak time. You can tell the staff are working hard to get the food out as quickly as possible. Currently no done in available, but that didn't bother us. Everyone else waiting seemed like regulars, so I assume the food is consistently good. Very good value for money and the roast chicken was excellent.
Great Chicken, Burgers, Seafood, Salads and Drinks. Pre-order for pickup as popular and limits the wait time. The Greek salad is very tasty and fresh and they don't stiff you on the Olives and Fetta like some places do. They work hard to provide you a good take-away experience. It is 5 star take away. It is not a place for petty whingers who want Maccas or a slop shop.
Hot chips done right hot, crispy, fluffy and just the right amount of salt. An Aussie takeaway of your childhood, except that its clean and bright with friendly owners. I took a 'small ' chips home, opened it up and there was not a single soggy chip. Such a large portion that I couldn 't finish it on my own. Come here if you want proper hot chips. Book a table now
Excellent shop! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They don't pressure you at all. Food was delicious, excellent size and very decent price. I'll be coming back here for sure. They gave a wonderful local vibe.
Go to place when I'm feeling lazy to cook and need a quick feed. My go to are the fish and beef burgers (with the lot) and fries. Serving sizes for both are quite big and the workers are friendly.
I work in a burger shop, but I was still incredibly impressed by the quality of the food here. It was fresh and delicious!
