We happened upon this little shop whilst perusing Harrogate and brought a selection of Cheeses to take to family that evening. The two ladies working were fantastic in helping us choose a lovely Brie with Truffle, Smoked Cheddar and a strong Blue. With a little taster of each we were soon agreed and the three cheeses were nicely wrapped up in paper.Our hosts loved them that evening and being local themselves have plans to pop in and see the array on offer for themselves.
I remember this place opening in 1981 and what a joy it was to be able to buy cheese at its best and have access to such knowledge from the owners. I'm not sure whether the owners still work in the store but in any case, the staff are certainly as knowledgeable now. An absolute pleasure to source cheese here, make it a part of your visit to Harrogate as we did. Check out their website, you will not be disappointed.
I've always shopped here and they have been fantastic during lockdown delivering their cheese which has been a real treat! They've been great at making suggestions and I've tried some lovely new cheeses. A lovely little shop :

A very fine cheese shop, and you can taste the wares, but this isn't a restaurant. it doesn't belong in these listings. So beware if you're setting off here hoping for a repast.
Amazing selection of cheeses and chutneys. But after paying I saw that they sell foie gras which I cannot condone, hence 3/5. And sadly, won't go again.
