I was sitting, waiting to get unloaded at the local Tractor Supply and one of the employees told me about China Chef because it was within walking distance, and being a Truck Driver it's hard to get to good food. I decided to walk over, and this was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time not only was the food good but the employees were great, and the other customers were friendly and I had a great time talking and dining there. I have recommend this place to other drivers in my company about it and hope they have a great visit as I did. Thanks, China Chef and the townspeople whom I talked with.
Okay, I will say I was really hesitant to eat here because we live in a tiny town and I hadn't heard much about it since moving here a year ago. Ladies and gents, it was GOOD. I've tried a lot of Chinese food that knocked it out of the park and I am really picky, but China Chef did a really solid job. We all tried a bunch of different foods and all were really great tasting meals. You couldn't beat the price, either. $65 for 4 combination plates, two appetizers and 4 drinks?! Sold. We will definitely be back!
When China Chef opened it was quite a discovery in Edgewood and an unforgettable surprise for cross country travelers who wandered off I-40 and into this quaint well hidden Chinese restaurant. Food was always properly prepared and fresh at reasonable prices. As time went by the prices have risen dramatically and the food quality has dropped off. It's not nearly as good as it was.
