China Express offers a solid dining experience, particularly with their chicken dishes. While the prices have always felt a bit high to me, it might just be the standard for this area. The only downside I've encountered is with the dumplings—they’ve tasted undercooked both steamed and fried, to the point where I can't enjoy them, and I'm usually not a picky eater. Despite avoiding the dumplings, I'm always satisfied with the rest of the menu at China Express, even considering the cost.
This place is solid, especially with the chicken dishes. The price has always seemed high to me but maybe that is just the norm in this area? The one negative review would be the dumplings. Have tried them steamed and fried and it might just be me but theyalways seem undercooked to the point where I can't/won't eat them, and I am not a picky eater. Still, I avoid the dumplings andam always happy despite the cost.
I must say the food was nothing i expected. Nothing match my receipt. 1st and last time i will be ordering from here. Please save your $33. It's not worth it. I couldn't even get my little Nephew to finish his plate. Believe Me You. All reviews are not good reviews. All Local Carry Outs are Not the best way. Protect your Bowels.
I got the sesame chicken combo. It was not that expensive and it actually is real chicken and is super juicy and not overcooked. I had it delivered and it was delivered about a half hour earlier than I had expected. Wonderful experience will definitely be ordering this again! Book a table now
I was really disappointed that the Sweet and Sour Chicken arrived cold and seemed old. The Kung Pao was at least hot upon delivery and I’d rate it a 7 out of 10. I’d recommend dining in instead—at least then you can ask for a replacement if you’re not satisfied.
China Express is my top choice for Chinese takeout in the DMV area! I dislike all the other options near my home, so I make the drive all the way to Clifton (I live in Loudoun County) just to enjoy their food. Highly recommended!
Absolutely terrible. The Kung Pao chicken I ordered was awful—not even close to authentic. It was drenched in grease and tasted filthy. Complete junk. I received a full refund through DoorDash. Avoid this place at all costs!

The hot and sour soup, General Tso's chicken, and triple delight are all excellent. I only order delivery, but I'm always satisfied with everything I choose each time.
