Group not well treated. A few weeks ago, a large group of teachers in Warren was for a music festival. One of the best restaurants in town for dinner service is certainly Chido's. Related in town....and were there many times..... I recommended the place and the food was not abandoned. But... it was a Thursday night and they were really not busy. But... if we were there... the house staff really seemed like they didn't want to join us. We did not make reservations... ..a mistake....but it was Thursday and the parking was not too full. We came through the meal....had very good food.....but the recruitment of the staff would certainly have more accomodating.
I recently found this fantastic restaurant, and I can definitely say it deserves all the five-star reviews it has received. The food was incredible, and the prices were very reasonable. Although the service wasn't the quickest, it was actually a nice change of pace after feeling rushed at other places during busy times. Considering the quality and portion sizes of the meals, you'd probably pay at least 25% more at other restaurants. I noticed that this family-owned establishment is up for sale, which is really disappointing because it’s absolutely perfect just the way it is under current ownership.
A business colleague and I stumbled on this gem, quite by accident. My poached salmon served in a delicious dill sauce was one of the best salmon dinners I have had. The all-you-could-eat salad served with an oil and vinegar dressing (with an overtone of sweetness) could have been a meal by itself. Despite the fact that we were strangers, the proprietress made us feel welcome and part of the family. I had/have two regrets: 1) that I didn't have a bigger appetite, and 3) that I don't live within driving distance. I look forward to my business reasons bringing me back, again.
This place was amazing! We were looking for Italian food in the area and found an absolute gem. We had escargot to start because we had never seen it on the menu before. The texture and flavor was fantastic. We also had fried provolone sticks which were delicious as well. For dinner my friend and I had the seafood alfredo which had a generous serving size with crab and shrimp. My other friend had the brisket and was incredibly satisfied. Highly recommend this place to anyone near or far.

SECOND VISIT UPDATE: My girlfriend and I decided to give it another chance. This time, I avoided the prime rib, and let me tell you—the dishes we tried this time were much more impressive. We started with the Escargot and Sea Scallop Martini antipasti, both of which were delicious. For our entrees, we had the Shrimp Scampi and the Smoked Mozzarella Ravioli, and both were outstanding. We will definitely be returning, and I’ve upgraded my rating by one star.
I was part of a group of eight, and we had to wait about 30 minutes for our checks, even though we were just four couples. They automatically added a 20% gratuity, but honestly, I would have only tipped around 5%! Additionally, my chicken fettuccine wasn't impressive; the chicken was bland, while the fettuccine was overly seasoned. The waitstaff never checked on us to see if we wanted refills. I won't be returning, and my friends felt the same way.
Delicious food from the kitchen as they say... how Mom used to make. Large portions form the slightly above-average costs... especially for a small town... You would never see the cost of quality as these in larger cities, so in this way Chidos is a deal. Great discovery makes it a regular stop.
Food was amazing, service was so-so. The host (owner? was very nice and he went to all tables. Would recommend this place, but make a reservation it will be packed quickly!!!

The food there is delicious; however, we were unable to visit. They didn't have any special events for Mother's Day.
