Recently, I ordered lunch from Chris’s Texas Weiner in South Orange, opting for their Philly Cheesesteak Wrap, and it was a delightful surprise! The addition of pickles and the taste of the coleslaw really enhanced the dish. While the wrap was a bit on the salty side, it was still very enjoyable—the cheese helped balance out the saltiness quite nicely. I was pleasantly surprised to find it came with fries. I'm not usually a big fan of fries, but I ended up finishing them all because they paired perfectly with the Philly Cheesesteak Wrap. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant, but the food left a lot to be desired. The pancakes were extremely dry, the coffee tasted watered down, and the butter had an off flavor. It just wasn't up to par. As someone who cooks, I know it's not difficult to prepare a decent breakfast, and on the days I choose to dine out, I expect better quality. It doesn't make sense to go out and receive subpar meals. The bacon even had a strange smell. You’re already making a good profit, but you risk losing customers if the quality doesn't improve.
The coffee was disappointing. I want coffee, not water with cream. When it was poured, it looked so transparent that you could see right through it—it had this unappealing brown color. It’s really disheartening to go out for coffee and a meal, only to feel like you’ve wasted your money because the quality keeps declining. Nowadays, you’re paying more for less; it feels like you might as well just chew on a coffee bean at this point.
The Original "Cheers" Diner! They know what we're going to order but still offer us menus. We miss Bobby, but at least we have his sister. We only go for breakfast on the weekends, and the food portions, atmosphere, and service are all top-notch! Make sure to stop by and fuel up for your day!

I always have a great experience when I have breakfast at Chris' Diner. The food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is incredibly helpful as well.
