My family I have been there twice now after moving here I'll NEVER go back. Lasagne was like clay glue, schnitzel was dry, pizza base was inedible the service was appalling! It was dinner service time so I understand that places get busy didn't even mind that the 30min wait I was informed about when ordering was much longer because their playground is good (though not covered in). What I find rude unprofessional is that the staff moved around at zombie pace didn't even acknowledge customers that were waiting. A simple be there in a minute would suffice. Went to the gaaming bar a lady blatantly ignored me while conversing with a couple at the bar. Don't bother going!
Haven't been to the Christies Pub in a while, (15+yrs) and I'm afraid the I should have left 30 yrs. For a pub of this size to have only two gluten free options was an absolute joke and to make it worse it was shit, and that's putting it nice. You can go into a small family operated business and get a hand full of dishes plus some with G/F options. One positive I can say is the staff never stop, apologies for lengthy waiting times were heard a lot due to the lack of staff not the staff work rate. Very poor show and this group won't be showing up here for another 30 yrs
This pub actually turned out to be much better than what I would have expected from a pub down this part of town. Okay, it was a bit tacky in places, but they seemed to have given this place a complete make over and actually made it into a pub that I would have expected to come from one of those pubs near the beach. There is a pretty nice outdoor area, and they even had some craft beers available, which certainly means that it is going to give it a better score.
Great place for a quick chicken parmi. Outdoor play area for the kids with plenty of sound proofing. You can enjoy the meals without being interrupted. There is plenty of visibility to the child's area so you can keep am eye on them. Meals are great and includes a salad bar.

Went there last week for lunch. Lunch you would expect that to be average, well I was impressed. good salad bar soup all chucked in. Mains were good. For a lunch menue qt $11.90 and around ten or so choises good. Steak $14.90 for 300 gram not bad.

When I first went there it was great food but the last time I went there they served me a raw burger. Apart from that incident this is a great spot to eat.
Noisy and very slow unorganised service. Ordering process needs review and better organisation.
