I can't remember ever choosing (or catching) a piece of live seafood anywhere, be it fish, lobster and in this case crab and not been happy with it - it was alive 10 minutes ago and now I'm eating it - its hard for that to fail.. so my expectations were high. Anyway we looked around and everyone in the place was eating fish with noodles - so when in Rome as they say.. we went with the mud crab with ginger and shallot and noodles. The crab flesh was really good, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was nice and thick with a hint of sweetness. We originally wanted to go to the Fish Market Cafe next to Christie's but boy was the line too long. So we bit the bullet and purchased their basic seafood platter and an aburi scallop. I have had the aburi scallop before and it was good! There was a nice balance of rice, salmon and scallop which all goes well with the melted cheese and mayonnaise. However make sure you grab the ones that came out of the oven recently because it is best eaten freshly baked. One was $5.50. The disappointment was with the seafood platter. The platter included two fish cocktails, fried prawns, fake...

The fresh oysters were better than the fried bucket. The cutlets and fish sticks seemed like they were fried long ago and they came pretty soggy and sagged with oil. The oysters were fresh and succulent though. P.S. Try visiting the fish market before 10am if you want to beat the crowd.
