Unfortunate to say, but I was let down by my experience here. Walking into the restaurant, I was blown away by the modern and innovative decor. However, once we were shown to our tables, my disappointment with my evening began. The menu riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, was furthermore unclear and vague about the restaurant's dishes. For instance, the menu offered a whole fish for $78 with no indication as to what fish it was or whether it was the special of the day. Similarly, another menu item simply listed as 'asparagus with ice' (priced at $24) provided no explanation as to what the dish itself actually entailed. The menu's lack of clarity was not supplemented by the staff,...

We went there on a weekday night, the decor of the restaurant is impressive. However, that's all that's good about this place. The price point and the ambiance suggests that it's a fine dining chinese restaurant. However when the waitress came to take our order, and we had questions about the menu, she didn't know much about the menu but she wouldn't make an effort to go and ask the chef about the details until we asked her to. The waitress didn't have much knowledge about the very unclear menu. Her service was nothing more than a take away outlet. Seemed like she had no experience in serving guests in a fine dining restaurant at all. There wasn't much variety of chinese tea considering th...

6 of us went to Cinnebar as a last minute decision on a typically cold winters night. It was nice and warm and the staff were very efficient in seating us and getting our menu & drinks. We ordered Black Seame Prawn toast (the best ever), 3 types of dumplings - pan fried Duck (ok), Shanghai style pork & cababge and mushroom Dumpling (VG) for starters, followed by salt & pepper Calamari (nice but small serving), pan fried scollops (tiny and tasteless) Lamb cutlets (fantastic), sweet & sour pork (dull), crispy eggplant (soggy & tasteless), king prawns (small king) & crispy skin shredded chicken (nice). For the price, some servings were on the small size. The service was good and the food came out...
I am asian. For me, the food is very authentic yet with a cheeky modern tweak. The decor and atmosphere are luxurious which makes it a perfect place for a special occasion or if you are entertaining interstate or overseas guests. The staff are extremely friendly which is kind of unusual for asian restaurant (forgive my bluntness..) Surprisingly, great services, superb food and pleasant diving environment come at a very affordable price. I can not recommend it highly enough!!
Strange overpriced place with decent priced beers. Do not be tempted by the signature slow cooked duck! I do not understand this dish, lovely soft duck in a sauce of onion broth for 30 odd dollars? The chilli beef was horrible. Service was ok. The best dish was the steamed rice and chilli paste I asked for. At least it was warm inside.
Atmosphere is lovely. Spring rolls and dumplings were quite good, the eggplant was delicious however I was not a fan of the noodles - they were very dry and resembled maggi 2 minute noodles. On the expensive side, wasn't bad but wasn't spectacular. Book a table now
Our meal was wonderful. The staff were all great, and the atmosphere is brilluant. Beautiful chinese artifacts on display and 2 fantastic warriors guarding the door! Had a really nice night. Will be returning for another meal again soon.
