This place is wonderful and Michael and Hannah were amazing. We were there for a few days and got to know them a little. On our last morning at we left Hannah wrote on my cup a message for safe travels. Talk about service! btw, the coffee and Chai tea were both excellent. Sorry we only had a few days in St. Albans. Will definitely stop in the next time we are in the area.Parking: Parking in front was a little hard, but there was a lot more in the back of the building.
What a charming spot in the heart of Saint Albans! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by fantastic live music. The walls are lined with books, creating a lovely ambiance for enjoying a meal or a cup of coffee. Allie, the barista, was an absolute joy! She was knowledgeable and made us feel incredibly welcome. We tried the white mocha drinks, both frappé and iced, and they were delicious! I will definitely be returning to Coal River Coffee Company!
I stopped in for a coffee cookie on my way to an AirBnb. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the products I asked about. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious as was the decaf Irish cream latte I ordered. As an added bonus, I found 2 books I can’t wait to dive into in the used book section. Thank you for making my day a little sweeter ?
By far the best coffee I’ve had in my life! The creations they come up with , amaze me! Hannah is amazing and always upon request makes me her own creations. This beats Starbucks anyday. I only wish they had other locations, I’m from Kentucky and everytime I’m in town for awhile I come here everyday that I am! It’s just that good! Book a table now

Owned operated by an amazing couple who love the community and just want to provide friendly quality service. One of the finest local coffee shops in the state! The coffee is consistently exceptional, the shop is always tidy, and the staff is incredibly helpful and polite. We chose the Red Dragon Lattes! The Barista said it was like a Red Velvet Latte? of course that was our choice! Excellent place to chill enjoy! I love this place! Plenty of gluten free options and the staff are so nice! Good products. Hate that it's in a conservative area but the staff are amazing either way!
