I went to Coco Viet yesterday, oct 14th with my colleague. The place was not attractive from the outside, i felt a bit hesitate to come in. But from the inside it was so interesting. The combination of traditional and modern furnitures, wall ornaments and its tidiness made me feel comfortable. The couple that work/own the restaurants were very friendly and informal. The menus are various and range with mostly vietnamese foods and of course some other Asian foods (Thai etc). I tried det of Dumpling with its sauce and chillies and they were delicious! Spicy foods! Coco Viet was recommended by our hosts at Chateau Estefani. They said they had not yet eaten here but guests had told them it was extraordinary. They said not to be put off by the location or exterior but had the most enthusiastic recommendations . They were right. Fabulous , warm staff, extraordinary chef ( chef by chance she told us... She never really had aspirations of be coming a chef and is self taught). But my what a talent. Every dish was great, simple spring tools, a Tom soup and a special plat that included noodles, pork, some really tasty " meatballs". I have been 2-3 times to this address with my family during my regular stays in Pau and it has become one of the places I like to visit for a simple meal. The Vietnamese food is good and authentic, in particular the Pho Bo (beef noodles) is fragrant and tasty. There are also done special dishes every day and formula to choose from. The staff from this family-owned restaurant is extremely friendly and will provide good advice if requested.
I went to the restaurant after reading the review on TripAdvisor website. the restaurant was cosy and it has a beautiful garden at the back of the restaurant. I had dimsum and Phong bo (beef noodle). both of the meals were tasty and brilliantly cooked. the owners were very friendly. I would highly recommend people who come to Pau to go and enjoy the food here.

A warm welcome awaits you during your visit to Coco Viet. We sat at a table in the pretty garden at the back of the restaurant and selected our tasty dishes from the menu. The food was freshly prepared and full of flavours. Our host was charming and took care of us. Such a great culinary experience at the end of a hot day.
Good food and is very close to my local specialty. The atmosphere and dinning areas was perfect and to top it up, the husband and wife team was very friendly. Will try to go for lunch tomorrow ( mother day)but forgot to place my booking.
