Hi, ...deliberately used the dreaded Nice label as this sums up our experience with this relatively new restaurant. Its clean, family friendly and has good service. The speciality is Moules in multiple variations but there are other more traditional options. The servings are adequate and the food is good but just nothing stands out or really makes it above OK . Price is middling although drinks are expensive, alcoholic or non, it doesn 't matter. Its also a big restaurant and popular at lunch and dinner but the big bonus is that it is open all day a real rarity i this part of France so for those who dont want to eat prompt at mid day this is a great! Also easy to find on the route de Tarbes...

We stopped for Lunch and chose the fixed price Menu. The cold starters was a good choice of fayre including some very nice Prawns (although trying the Artichokes wasn 't a wise move). For the mains I had the €2 addition for the Mussels, which I have to say were simply excellent, and even more so considering the 'fast food ' nature of the place. It was very clean, tidy, excellent toilette 's, and great value for money. The only (minor) downside was that our waitress, who was pleasant enough, was fairly clueless in as much as she had to be asked for a Steak Knife, and for the table sauces. However I put this down to her being young, inexperienced, and (especially) lack of training, so my 'Exce...

We stopped for Lunch, as I remembered that we had an excellent time there 4 years ago, and was amazed with the unbelievable value we received. The Menu had changed and we chose the €10.90 two course Lunch which was either a main dish and a drink or a main dish and a desert. The Mussels which I chose were really 1st class and presented and served as expected. The Lemon Sorbet desert was also just as expected. we tried their Biere Leon which at €4.50 for a 33cl measure, was again top rate. All in all phenomenal value for a nice comfortable, pleasant Lunch. Without doubt Leon was a wise choice and if you are Pau and want an easy good Lunch, try them out.

I came to the restaurant with my wife and my daughter. We were welcome by a bespectacled waiter who was polite and smile on his face. We were lucky as he knows to speak English. The restaurant was full with people as it was weekend and people were there for lunch. The waiter who served us was very kind as he gave his opinion on the menu. We ordered from the menu; fish and chips, two tapas and one main menu of 'Le Genereux '. The food was good and tasty. Thanks to Mr Issam BENSAID as we saw his name on the receipt.
