Uns wurde das Café Lauerbach empfohlen, nicht zuletzt, weil es berühmt sei für seinen Baumkuchen, der in der eigenen Manufaktur hergestellt wird. Wir haben ihn probiert – und waren doch enttäuscht. Zum einen ist unverständlich, warum es nur ein Angebot mit Schokoladenglasur gibt, wenn das die eigentliche Spezialität ist, zum andern war er ziemlich trocken und nicht sonderlich aromatisch. Da haben wir schon deutlich besseren Baumkuchen, z. B. in Köln in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, gegessen. Schade.Service war in Ordnung, ein großes Angebot an Torten mit viel Creme – sicher passender im Winter.
We spent a few days in Cottbus and this was my favorite restaurant. Both evenings that we ate here were excellent. The quality and quantity of the dishes and the extensive menu got my vote. The atmosphere warm and cozy especially in the little back...bit. We managed to get a table without a booking it was busy but we were lucky. I would certainly recommend booking for a Friday or Saturday night. Super service with excellent food... Thank you

In the middle of the pedestrian zone. Looks like nice an cozy place but I was very pleasant surprise when I saw that there are Jazz Evenings. Cakes are outstanding. Service too. If I come to Cottbus once more, I'll definitely make a pause there

Waren zweimal zum Frühstück dort. Sehr abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig gestaltet. Frisches Obst, variantenreiche Aufschnittsorten, Honig, Marmelade und guter Kaffee dazu. "Frühstück für Zwei" als Empfehlung!Viel Spaß dabei.

Ein sehre hübsches, gemütlich eingeerichtetes Restaurant und Cafe. Angeschlossen ist eine Baumkuchenproduktion. Gute Auswahl an Kuchen. Sehr zu empfehlen.
